UPDATE: Pearland, TX Fight Against Hunger Meals Staying Local to Aid in Harvey Relief
What a difference a few weeks make. The Pearland Dream Dinners is hosting its second annual Fight Against Hunger event this Saturday, Sept. 9, and with Hurricane Harvey’s recent devastation, Dream Dinners, together with its partner Friends & Family Community Connection, has decided to donate all the meals to residents of Brazoria County. In coordination with a second Dream Dinners and Sysco event, the company hopes to package 100,000 meals to aid in hurricane relief efforts.
The Dream Dinners event is scheduled from 9-11 a.m. at the New Hope Church in Manvel. All meals will be delivered to the Brazoria County Constable’s office for distribution throughout the County.
Local volunteers are needed to help assemble food packages during the event. If you can’t make the event, please consider a donation: https://livingthedreamfoundation.com/pearland-tx-meal-packing-event.
Dream Dinners is also donating $1 for each purchase of a September Meal of the Month directly to its foundation and FFCC’s efforts in the area. For information, go to dreamdinners.com.
