Pearland Dream Dinners will Host its Second Fight Against Hunger Event

The Pearland Dream Dinners team is hosting its second Fight Against Hunger event on Saturday, September 9. Dream Dinners franchise owner Tania Monroy is organizing the event.

The event will be hosted at the New Hope Church in Manvel from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and organizers hope to package 60,000 meals. Approximately 20,000 meals will stay local and go to the Manvel Food Pantry, Christian Helping Hands, and The Bridge Over Troubled Waters to help local families. The remaining two thirds of the meals will go to Haiti.

Volunteers are needed to help compile food packages that will help address food insecurity here and in Haiti. Hurricane Matthew hit Haiti hard last year. Crops were washed away, and some communities are still struggling to rebuild.

This event is possible due in part to generous donations from Pearland Coffee Roasters, Mercer Insurance Agency, and Cruz-N-Cars. For more information, or to make a donation, visit
